Tile and grout cleaning can be deceptively tricky. Grout lines are porous, acting like sponges that absorb dirt, moisture, cleaning residues, bacteria, and even mildew. Over time, this buildup causes grout to appear discolored—even if you're mopping regularly.

While mopping may appear to clean your floors, it can actually worsen grout discoloration. The first time your mop touches the water, it’s clean—but each dip afterward introduces dirt back into the water. As a result, you're often spreading dirty water into the grout lines, leading to buildup and staining.

Spills of dark-colored liquids—like coffee, tea, red wine, or Kool-Aid—can penetrate deep into the grout. If not cleaned immediately, these substances can leave permanent stains. The longer they sit, the harder they are to remove.

At E & V Floor Care Plus, we use a high-pressure water and vacuum extraction system to lift and remove deep-seated dirt, food residue, and cleaning product buildup from your tile and grout.

While this system is highly effective, permanent stains that have absorbed deeply into grout may not be fully removable. For this reason, we cannot guarantee stain removal—but we can guarantee a dramatically cleaner surface.

We strongly recommend sealing your tile and grout after cleaning. A quality sealant creates a protective barrier that helps repel future stains and contaminants, making routine cleaning easier and more effective.
