1. Floor Inspection & Preparation
We inspect the flooring, evaluate the condition of the existing finish, and identify areas that may require additional attention. Furniture and movable items are addressed as needed before the stripping process begins.
2. Stripping the Existing Finish
A professional floor stripping solution is applied to break down layers of old finish and buildup. Professional floor equipment is then used to agitate the surface and remove the loosened finish.
3. Rinsing, Neutralizing & Cleaning
The floor is thoroughly cleaned and rinsed to remove remaining stripping solution and residue. When appropriate, the floor is neutralized to help properly prepare the surface for the new floor finish.
4. Drying & Floor Preparation
The flooring is allowed to dry thoroughly before finish is applied. Commercial air movers may be used when needed to assist with the drying process.
5. Floor Finish Application
Multiple coats of professional floor finish are applied based on the condition of the floor, desired appearance, and needs of the facility. Each coat is allowed to dry properly before the next coat is applied.
6. Burnishing — When Appropriate
Depending on the floor finish, service selected, and desired appearance, the floor may be burnished after the finish has properly dried or cured to help enhance gloss and create a smooth, polished appearance.
