Natural stone surfaces vary in composition, porosity, finish, and condition. At E & V Floor Care Plus, we evaluate the surface before service and select the cleaning or care method based on the stone and its specific needs.
1. Stone & Surface Evaluation
We inspect the stone, existing finish, condition, areas of concern, and previous treatments when identifiable to determine the appropriate service approach.
2. Dry Soil & Surface Debris Removal
Lose dirt, dust, and surface debris are removed as appropriate before the cleaning process begins.
3. Treatment of Heavily Soiled Areas
Areas with heavier buildup, spots, or staining receive additional attention based on the stone and condition of the surface.
4. Professional Natural Stone Cleaning
The surface is professionally cleaned using products, equipment, and methods selected for the type of natural stone and its existing finish.
5. Additional Stone Care, When Selected
If included in your service, additional care may involve honing or polishing, stain or etch spot treatment, or application of an appropriate penetrating stone sealer.
6.Detail Cleaning & Final Inspection
Accessible edges and surrounding areas are detailed as appropriate, followed by a final inspection of the completed service.
Important to Know
Natural stone cleaning and restoration are not the same service. Deep scratches, severe etching, cracks, chips, discoloration, worn finishes, or other permanent damage may require specialized restoration or repair beyond routine professional cleaning.
Results can vary based on the stone type, finish, age, condition, previous treatments, and existing damage.
