Our Area Rug Cleaning Process

Your area rugs deserve the same level of care as the rest of your home. At E & V Floor Care Plus, we use a safe and effective multi-step process to clean and preserve the beauty of your rugs—no matter the material.
1. Inspection & Fiber Identification
We begin by identifying the rug’s material (wool, silk, synthetic, etc.) and checking for stains, damage, or colorfastness. This ensures we choose the safest, most effective cleaning method.
2. Dry Soil Removal
Rugs are thoroughly vacuumed and gently agitated to remove loose dirt, dust, and debris from deep within the fibers—more than surface vacuuming alone.
3. Pre-Treatment of Stains & High-Traffic Areas
Spots and soiled areas are pre-treated with fabric-safe solutions to loosen stubborn stains, oils, or pet messes before the main cleaning begins.
4. Deep Cleaning / Washing
Based on the rug type, we perform either a low-moisture clean or a full submersion wash. This step removes embedded dirt, odors, and allergens while preserving fiber integrity.
5. Rinse & pH Balancing
We rinse the rug thoroughly to remove any cleaning solution residue and restore the rug’s natural pH—important for maintaining softness and color.
6. Controlled Drying
Rugs are dried in a humidity-controlled environment (or carefully dried in your home, if applicable) to prevent shrinkage, dye bleeding, or mildew growth.
7. Final Grooming & Inspection
We groom the rug fibers for a consistent look and inspect the entire piece to ensure quality. Then, it’s rolled or returned to its place—fresh, clean, and revived.
